I read an article that was 5 Things You Need to Know About Company Culture Today. I choose this one because on company that has sky rocketed over the past year is Uber. Drawing straight from recent headlines, the article uses Uber as an example of what not to do when it comes to building a positive corporate culture. The author notes that culture is something company leaders are always creating and changing. It also states for better or for worse, and whether they mean to or not. Citing the allegations of widespread sexual harassment and the leaked video of CEO Travis Kalanick arguing with an Uber driver over cutting prices, this article points out that these uncomfortable revelations were inevitable for a company whose founding philosophy involves skirting rules and regulations. I believe the main point the article was tryig to convey is no matter whether times are good or bad a company has to stick together regardless of the culture. Every company or organization will have good and bad times whether they mean to or not. Dispite rumors or bad things said they have to speak together.
