A membrane separates two compartments. One compartment contains analbulmin(40 g/L at MW=69,000 g/mole) solution and the othercontains a globulin (70 g/L at MW = 150,000 g/mole). The membranehas pores equivalent in size to a spherical molecule with amolecular weight (MW) of 5,000 g/mole. Assuming the solution isideal. What is the pressure difference across the membrane atequilibrium? T=37C and R=8.314 J/mole K.
