A first-line supervisor in the health information department at Anywhere Hospital. Your authority allows you to control or manipulate certain factors about the jobs of the employees you supervise, but not all factors. Some factors over which you have limited control include salary and benefits, organization policies and procedures, and interpersonal relationships. Some factors over which you have a larger level of control include achievement, responsibility, recognition, autonomy, and professional growth.
