The University Of Ballarat (UB) is a regional university with a growing reputation for relevance and excellence. It is Australia’s third oldest tertiary education institution; UB boasts a sturdy tradition of education and training delivery which spans more than 140 years.
UB meshes a youthful energy with its rich history, attaining the freedom and dynamism which comes from being a progressive university with close links to business, industry, communities and technology. It also has a flourishing reputation as a welcoming and friendly university for international students.
UB places great emphasis on the quality of its teaching and learning, delivering a variety of innovative programs through both its Higher Education and TAFE divisions. The university is Australia’s only regional; it has sectors University and a pivotal provider of post-secondary education for Central and Western Victoria. It also hosts UB Tec, which caters for the senior secondary school students. 6 campuses in region anchor the range of programs which UB delivers throughout Australia and, ever more, internationally.
The University also has released a latest UB Blueprint, which documents a major restructure of UB’s operations for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
As part of the changes, seven new Schools of the University have been created. These include two predominantly Higher Education Schools, 3 TAFE Schools and 2 dual sector Schools one is in the health sciences and the other in business.Providing strong, practical knowledge and extensive experience in the development and supply of innovative, commercial solutions, UB staff have under taken and overseen major national and international projects within both academic and commercial environments.
