This is ranked in the world top 500 across a range of prestigious indices; Griffith is the Australia’s ninth largest higher education source. The analysis of Excellence in the Research for Australia National Report 2010 placed Griffith in the top 10 of Australian research universities for number of fields of research rated at world standard or above, with the 93 per cent of its academic staff aligned with these fields. The Nathan and the Gold Coast campus in specific are home to some of the most exciting scientific and health research in the world, comprising the development of a malaria vaccine and a Nature Bank facility under taking innovative extraction of bioactive ingredients for pharmaceuticals.
